About Us

About Us

American Lutheran Church was founded on February 15, 1932.   Our congregation has grown through the years and built the current church in 1959.  We have a very active congregation.

Our church services are held every Sunday at 9am, with Sunday School & Adult classes at 10:15.  See our calendar for all other events.

We are an LCMC congregation.  For more information on the Lutheran Congregations in Missions for Christ – please see their website at http://www.lcmc.net .

We reach out to people of our congregation, community and world in many ways.  We share the Good News of salvation through Chris Mikkelson-Evangelist, Dwight & Dorothy Hazard-SIM, Kidstown International[orphans], Samaritans Purse Disaster Relief, Dan & Nancy Butkowski-Campus Crusade for Christ, Bible Camps, Dobson Commentary, local Pregnancy & Life Resource Center, Place of Hope, Central Mn Chaplaincy and also LCMC benevolence.

In the Long Prairie area we assist with the emergency food pantry, nursing home and assisted living worship services, home visitations and communions, and LP ministerial projects. Some very special ministry outreach projects of American Lutheran include:
